DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING

On May 17, Chris mentioned that OEFC will be holding a church-wide Day of Prayer and Fasting on Thursday, May 28. Attached is a suggested format for your times of prayer, and an 11-minute video with more information is available HERE.

BABY BOTTLE FUNDRAISER

Every year, OEFC partners with the Calgary Pregnancy Care Centre and its annual Baby Bottle Fundraiser. For 2020, you can donate HERE until Father's Day (donations above $25 will receive a tax receipt). This campaign raises funds to support vulnerable women and families in our community and increases awareness of the Centre for those in need of its services.

HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

A special bulletin is being prepared for OEFC graduates! If someone in your household is graduating from high school, please send their name, school, photo, and future plans to bulletin@okotoksefc.ca by June 1.

MISSIONARY OF THE WEEK

Pray for:

  • Wisdom for ministry leaders as they determine how to best act so as to see minority communities flourish through mother tongue Scripture access
  • Clear ways to maintain organizational health as everyone is now working remotely
  • New teachers for Bingham Academy (their kids’ school) for the coming school year (which will be either in person or virtual – yet to be confirmed)
  • Rob and Kara's daughters as they navigate this unforeseen transition and the unknown timing for a return to Ethiopia

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING AND ELECTIONS

Plan to attend on Monday, June 22, 2020 (7pm; format to be announced). The election of new members, Elders Board and Finance & Property Committee will take place.

  • SABC - RIDE FOR A REASON registration is only $26 (includes t-shirt) and you choose your biking distance (20/50/100/160KM) and path. Ride between June 20 to 27. More info and registration at rideforareason.ca.
